Sony Vaio Svf1521 Sudden Shutdown

Dear Sr forum users,

I have purchased sony vaio svf1521gsgb, Its been about 3 years has passed, Now i am facing weird issue.

System get sudden shut-down normally within 1 to 10 min of first startup in morning. First i thought it might be due to fan slow issue. but some-time it turn off in first 40 to 60 seconds. In short it normally happens, when operating loads startup programs in windows after loging into it. I tried putting lot of stress on cpu for about 1 min using cpuz and another benchmark software together.

I have checked event log of windows 10. Pls see below:

In stressed condition temp goes up to 89 c at max.  see screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/3uO3rRvnm

Re: Sony Vaio Svf1521 Sudden Shutdown

Hi , There is no safe maximum temperature, since the ideal temperature is that the processor is always low so that it performs better, but the ideal maximum temperature is that it does not exceed 70 °.

I advise you to take your computer to an assistant or if you prefer to check if the cooler is working.

It may also be the thermal paste of the processor that is old, already had heating problems precisely because of the paste.

Re: Sony Vaio Svf1521 Sudden Shutdown

Problem seem to be fixed, issue with power plan. It was set to high performance. which was always keeping cpu usage to 100%, now i have updated to balanced and it doesn't get shutdown now.

fyi my system never goes up more than 90c in 100%cpu usage. we can consider it as limit for my version of laptop.

Thanks though.
