I did a scan disc and found several bad sectors on the HD...I'm concerned the HD (which is original..about 7 years old) will ****** ouyt on me.
I have a 500GB 5400 rpm HD (make/model??... its the original)
It came with W7 and was updated to W10 (free offering from MS) during the summer of 2017 (by me) and is up to date.
I created a back-up drive on 16GB USB stick (today...so W10) and have the origiginal system reecovery CDs that came with the computer (W7)
I bought a 7200 rpm 750 GB WD Hard Drive (not unpacked yet)...and would like to install it.
Is it as simple as removing the old HD (I guess if I screw up I can re-install it)...
and install the new HD with the recovery drive (USB) I created today with W10?
Will that restore my OS to W10.... any issues or should I push on or call it quits and buy a new computer...I hope not as I love the VAIO!
Oh good. I think image it very beautifull
That is a great sentiment... but I'm not sure I understand your point.
