How do I restore the xLoud and ClearPhase audio tech?

Good day!

Like the title says, how do I restore the xLoud and ClearPhase audio technology? I did a fresh install of Windows 8 on my SVF15218SA. I've installed all the drivers, yet the said audio techs are nowhere to be found. Thanks in advance!

Re: How do I restore the xLoud and ClearPhase audio tech?

Hi Accpclair,

Welcome to Sony Community!

Did you backup your data before doing the fresh install of Windows 8? Did you install all the original drivers from the Website? Here is the link where you can download the original drivers and software for your laptop, http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/svf15218sa

For further assistance regarding your concern, please contact the Sony offices/Sony representative offices nearest to your place of residence in Asia Pacific region http://www.sony-asia.com/countryselector.html?hpid=countryselector:AsiaPacific. Due to proximity, they are in a better position to respond to your questions or concerns.

Regards,

Jen

Re: How do I restore the xLoud and ClearPhase audio tech?

Sorry for the long reply. I got my hands full and just had the free time.

Anyway, I backed up certain data but I forgot to backup the said softwares. After the fresh install (which was a few months ago), I reinstalled all original drivers from the website, but the said softwares are missing. And lastly, because of certain constraints, I can't go to the service center which is located more or less 80 km away from our city.

I really hope you can help me.

Re: How do I restore the xLoud and ClearPhase audio tech?

Hi Accpclair,

Welcome to Sony Community!

If you are missing features in Vaio Control Center, it is likely because the drivers are missing.

You may manually install them, here are some drivers that may be related:
Audio Driver

Audio Registry Patch

Sony Shared Library

Vaio Control Center

Vaio Control Center Updates

System Settings

Here is the link for your laptop so you could find the drivers listed above.

http://www.sony-asia.com/support/product/svf15218sa

If installing these manually does not reintroduce the Xloud/Clear phase controls, then you might consider obtaining recovery media to reinstall everything back to factory settings as well as reinstate your recovery partition that was previously removed.

You may also contact the Sony offices/Sony representative offices nearest to your place of residence in Asia Pacific region http://www.sony-asia.com/countryselector.html?hpid=countryselector:AsiaPacific.

Regards,

Jen
