Laptop connected to network but no internet access.

Hello, I have a VAIO VPCEB32FM. The last couple of days I'd have internet for a few minutes and right after watching a Youtube video my pages would stop loading and I'd still be connected but nothing would appear. I called my cable provider and they said there's nothing they can do considering the fact thats its only my laptop thats doing it. If it means anything it began happening after I updating the latest VAIO software. Any help is appreciated.

Are you using a Wireless connection?

Is the Wireless connection dropping?

Does the issue persist with wired connection?


Reinstall Marvell Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter Driver and Marvell Yukon 88E8059 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver.

In case, if the issue persists, perform system restore to earlier date. System restore will restore the registry and other settings back to the date and time selected:

Same thing. I've tried it all, including the system restore. I've checked for viruses again. It only seems to happen when I watch a youtube video. Other than that it works fine.

Hi meesterandrew,


Have you try running it in safe mode to see if it is still happening with youtube?  Please try that.  Also using another browser like firefox or google chrome at all.  Make sure to backup all your data and files before doing so.  Also try deleting temp files (youtube video).  Try removing IE and download IE10.  Check for spyware or malware also if you can.
