Touch mouse wont work

I have a Sony VAIO laptop. Yesterday the touch mouse pad stopped working and I had to find a plug in mouse to use. Can someone tell me what I can do to fix it?

Re: Touch mouse wont work

If its a newer Sony laptop, you might have disabled the touchpad accidentally. Try holding down the Fn key on the keyboard while pressing the F1 key once, then try the touchpad again. Most newer VAIOs have a feature which allows you to disable / reenable the touchpad by using Fn key + F1 key.
