VCREAD.EXE STOPPED WORKING?

I have a VAIO desktop computer with WIN7 64-bit.  When completed the re-install of factory installed Adobe Reader 10 and while in the process of RE-START, suddenly and error message came up saying "VCREAD.exe STOPPED WORKING."  What will I do?   Please ASAP thanks a bunch.

Re: VCREAD.EXE STOPPED WORKING?

All I did was throw "VCREAD.exe" into the world's most popular search engine and here's what came back:

"VCREAD.exe belongs to VAIO Care, a program pre-installed on Sony computers. It is designed to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, provide access to diagnostic tools and updates with an easy-to-use interface."

I also looked at one website that had the internal strings from a 2014 version of the program. It indeed does seem to be a Sony program that was developed with MS Visual Studio that uses .Net methods.

Uh ...  You could try uninstalling/reinstalling VAIO Care.

If you do have a problem it likely has nothing to do with any Adobe product ... unless you have Flash (that last part was a joke).

Hi, Chicho

Welcome to Sony Community!

May we have the exact model name and current operating system of your Sony VAIO computer?

Regards,

Vincent
