.vaio control center after windows 8 upgrade

I upgraded to windows 8.

Now vaio control center is installed but it has very limited functions .

i cant adjust my special keys , or use function keys to turn brightness up/down.

i have downloaded Every win 8 driver from sony and installed with the sony upgrade helper.

also i have a driver issue .

in device manager under "other devices" i have an unknown device with yellow triangle.

In properties

its location was "on Intel(R) HM65 Express Chipset Family LPC Interface Controller - 1C49"

i have treid everything to resolve these issues .

You are correct the control center is useless at this time and you must wait for the third revision, but I can help you with the device manager issue this driver is for all Sony PC and works to resolve that issue. If you read further in the posts you will find this same info. here you go.

Re: .vaio control center after windows 8 upgrade

Hi , go to your official sony support site and download all sony drivers for windows 7 or whatever oem was installed on your laptop ,then download the following software :- then Run it's exe and click the button with ... on the right and select your driver by browsing to the location ,then it will do something and give you some options click next and it will open a console and do something ,after the console closes go to the location where your drivers were installed and find a folder of the same name as the one you selected ,just open the folder and navigate to TEMP folder inside and install every *.exe and *.bat file or any installable file you find .Repeat this step (restart if necessary) and install all the drivers . Also ,if there are any windows 8 drivers available for your laptop ,simply install them after this. Now ,from my experience I did all of this and all of my Fn and other features were working except the brightness bar in windows 8 was not displaying so ,I downloaded this ... it is a small brightness change displaying tool ,although it is optional
