Driver "Intel(R) HM76 Express Chipset LPC Controller - 1E59" has a yellow exclamation mark.

The Driver "Intel(R) HM76 Express Chipset LPC Controller - 1E59"  has a yellow exclamation in Divice Manager. How do I remove it? I just completed clean install of Windows 8 and this driver seems to be for windows 7.

Re: Driver "Intel(R) HM76 Express Chipset LPC Controller - 1E59" has a yellow exclamation

Hello Arthur,

Welcome to the Sony Community,

First, check if your computer is supported for the Windows 8 Operating System by selecting the exact series and the model # here: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/os8upgrade.pl

If your computer is supported for the Windows 8 Operating System, use the exact model # of your computer here to check for the Intel Chipset Driver and install it to troubleshoot the issue: http://esupport.sony.com/

My SVE14A27CXH has this same problem, too.

After instaliing Win8 64bits version, device manager indicates a conflict.

Intel(R) HM76 Express Chipset LPC Controller - 1E59

Hardware ID - ACPI\SNYA008

I did all these verifications and installed drivers in recommended order but the problem persists.

Hello Filipe.

Did you perform the clean installation of the Windows 8 Operating System in your computer? If yes, perform a complete system recovery using the recovery discs to restore your computer to the factory setting in order to troubleshoot the issue.

Follow all the steps mentioned here to perform the system recovery using the recovery discs: http://esupport.sony.com/docs/pc/SVE14A2_series/EN/contents/04/18/14/14.html#l1_recovering from reco...

Note: It is required to take backup of all the data before performing the system recovery, as it erases everything from the computer.

Miguael

Tks for your reply!

But, I really need to use some Windows 8 Enterprise version features (Hyper-v,...).

Last weekend I've tried to recover from Emergency Disk and find those drivers, but I got some errors. It seems that my DVD media is damaged...

Is there another way to solve these issues (faulty drivers and new Recovery discs) ?

Filipe
