How big of a hard drive can I put in my sony vaio?

I've got a quick question, not sure if I am asking this question in the proper place.

I need to upgrade my hard drive, it's currently 320gb, can I put a 1TB HD in my computer? Does size matter when replacing the hard drive, like memory does? I know when upgrading memory your computer can only handle so much or how so much whatever. Is that the case for Hard Drives or does it not matter?

My computer model: VPC-EC2JFX/WI

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

Jon

Here is the marketing specifications of your VPCEC2JFX/WI computer.

I recommend you use the harddrive that is specified for your computer.  You may consider using an external drives for backup and for extra storage if you need more space.

Re: How big of a hard drive can I put in my sony vaio?

 Thank you for that.

Doesn't say, but I spoke with a rep and it doesn't matter the size of the hard drive you put in pertaining to the GB size.

I went from a 320gb to a 1TB, I have a lot of computers and I do have an external as well 1.5TB fantom green drive. love it

Thanks again for posting that link.
