Recovery File

Hey guys,

I have a Sony VAIO VPCEH15FX, been with me for almost 8 years now. I replaced my HDD a while ago and installed a Windows 7 so I lost my original recovery file from Sony. I don't have any of the drivers or assisst button work anymore, brightness or sound adjusting. My laptop had the windows 7 running but I'm not sure which one was it (home, basic, premium..). Now I want to format my laptop it got so slow. How can I get the original recovery file from sony so that I can reset my laptop to it's factory state.

Thanks

Re: Recovery File

Hi, Abedjamal89

Welcome to Sony Community!

VPCEH15FX came with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. You need a specific set of recovery discs to format and reinstall the original operating system of your computer. To get a copy of recovery discs, please visit this page: https://sony.encompass.com/model/SONVPCEH15FX%7CB. If you need assistance or concerns on how to order the discs, you may go to this page: https://sony.encompass.com/general/Contact-Us

Once you get the recovery discs, you may follow the steps here to perform a system recovery: https://ca.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31704

Hope these help.

Best regards,

Vincent
