At CCW 2013 Sony showed a lineup of H.264 proxy recorders from VITEC-Focus as well as the Sony CBK-WA100 and CBK-WA101 wireless adaptors. The VITEC-Sony proxy recorders will also sold by Sony in order to provide customers with a choice of workflows at various price points. A further announcement will be made in mid December:

USB WiFi connection for live proxy monitoring, configuration and proxy file record/playback control
For Sony wireless adapter, WiFi is used by Content Browser mobile app to monitor proxy streaming video from camera, control wireless adapter, and update firmware.
For VITEC-Focus proxy recorders, a standard web browser connects via USB WiFi connection to configure, control, and retrieve web video from adapters.
(Sony adapter) Cellular adapter is used in second USB port by Content Browser to instruct the wireless adapter to transfer files stored on its SD card to an external FTP server or to rich media cloud storage.

CBK-WA100 (for PMW-500, PMW-160, PMW-200, PMW-300 cameras ) - SDI input, 4-pin hirose DC input, and USB connection for camera control and high res file transfer from camera to wireless adapter.
CBK-WA101 (for PMW-400) - 50-pin side panel connection for power and video input wihtout external cables and USB connection for camera control and high re file transfer from camera to wireless adapter.
