Intermittent Picture Freeze KD-43X7000E

Wondering if this TV is compatible with HD signal for ABC in Australia.

Initial TV purchased locked up 4 times in one evening when watching ABC HD. I also get some picture artifacts at various times. Tried Factory Reset and same issue occurring. Returned set to retailer as faulty and a new replacement supplied.

The new one is exactly the same. Freeze every hour or two and the only way to get TV going is to disconnect power and restart.

On both TV's firmware has been updated to latest version. Similar issue occurs on SBS HD including picture artifacts whereas on Ch 9 or 7 HD no artifacts occur and no picture freezes have occurred. On SD channels performance is perfect.

So, with second set I assumed there must be some other issue. I have had an antenna specialist work on this for some hours. Antenna and coaxial wiring is all new and other TV's including an older Sony are working perfectly on this channel. Signal strength and quality are 100% and using an amp to increase S/N ratio have been tried. (This reduced AGC from 210 to 170 but no other change. S/N is consistent 40dB. No significant intefrence is observed on line or in area. Coaxial cable all the way to TV and all other connections removed. Multiple Factory Resets all to no avail.

I am beginning to think this set is simply not compatible with signal and returning for refund to buy an alternate brand although I have always bought Sony because it is supposedly premium.

Can Sony Support help me with this case before I return set as I really like it and picture quality (other than this)
