I have a 2 fold prob. I plug the camcorder in USB, turn it on, the computer goes through the motions to install a device driver. While its doing so I see 3 Unidentified Devices in that box that its tryin to install drivers for, 2 show success, 1 shows no driver found. At the top it says Device driver software was not successfully installed. I went to the dcr-trv340 page and downloaded the USB driver there, after a reboot, I turned the camcorder on and it started installing drivers from web and failed (guessing the one I downloaded & installed didnt stick). Programs I am using will not recognize the camcorder as a harddrive for me to capture video. What can I do here?? I do have Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
* Drivers: o The drivers needed to connect your Sony camcorder to a computer and transfer files are already included in the operating system. * Not Supported: o The USB streaming feature is not supported with the Windows 7 operating system.
If it is not allowing File transfer, try compatibility mode, or see if security software may be blocking the communication between computer and camera.
