RX10 iii - all functionality freezes

My RX10 iii freezes after I take a photo. All functionality freezes. I am unable to zoom, focus, preview - nothing works. I had been using the camera for approximately 6 months with no problem when this started to happen. I sent the camera into Sony repair, got it back today and they did NOT fix it. Any suggestions?

What did they say in the work order?

I saw your other post where you tried everything.

So even if you shoot a picture with NO memory card, it will freeze?

Does playback without taking a picture cause a freeze?

You could contact your State's Attorney's Office of Consumer Protection.

They said very little in the work order other than that they did a factory reset and repair. 

No it doesn't work without a card.

All functionality including playback does not work when it freezes.

Thank you. I hope Sony cooperates and gives me a new camera, but if I have to contact the state attorney's office I will. Appreciate the suggestion.

Don't wait too long. Even the State's Attorney could take their time, and before you know it, your warranty is expired.

Sorry, no. Sony is having me send the camera back to their repair facility. I had called them and explained that the camera came back and still didn't work, and that I wanted a replacement. They said I'd have to send it back a second time before they could do that. Since they didn't fix it the first time I don't have much confidence the second time will produce better results, and it's going to take another 2 or 3 weeks before I get the camera back. I really need it for my work, so this is a major inconvenience.

Overnight it to their repair facility. That will demonstrate to them and the State's Attorney your determination to get it fixed, and when and if they fail to repair or replace it, the State's Attorney will have more ammunition to work with.
