Sony DVD repair

Hello.

I have a Sony DVD Player Model DVP NS575P. It was working fine when last used nine months ago and now returns message "C:13:70 The Disk Is Dirty" with every DVD including brand new movies. How can I repair it?

Re: Sony DVD repair

Hi James,

Welcome to Sony Community!

DVD Player will display this error if disc is dirty, scratched, or inserted incorrectly, preventing the laser from reading the disc. Also, clean the disc and ensure the disc is inserted properly. This also can be an indication that the disc you are attempting to play is not compatible with the player. Information about supported discs is mentioned on page#8 of the instructions manual:

http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DVPNS575P.pdf

If the error message still appears, turn off the DVD player and disconnect the power cord from an electrical outlet. After 30 seconds has elapsed, plug the DVD player back into the electrical outlet.

If the issue is still not resolved, I suggest that you get the DVD Player serviced. You can initiate the service request from the below page:
