Sony India Mischief - Did not honor warranty

Dear All,

 

This is about Sony India Mischief.

 

Case 1 Cyber shot DSC T500
This Camera I purchased was faulty from the beginning, it only clicks at max 30-35 pics with full battery or dies after 10 minutes of video shoot. For two years of its warranty I tried to get it repaired/ replaced by Sony India. They replaced battery during its warranty but again it did not work. Now they ask me to buy a new battery but they never answer one simple question - Will it work effectively with new battery? They also do not answer - Why didn't it worked with previous two batteries both provided by Sony? Later on I did some research on Internet about the Camera and found that they sold me this model when it was out of production. So basically they sold me an out of production model and faulty Camera and when I contacted their Service centers & Customer Care they simply kept lingering on the issue till the warranty period exhausted and after that covered it up.

 

Case 2 Car Stereo

They broke my Car stereo in front of me by simply dropping it. Instead of feeling sorry or replacing the broken parts they simply handed it over to me. When I reported this to Sony India Customer Care they said we don't have any records of you getting your Car stereo serviced by us. Again to cover the violent action of their employee they manipulated the computer records. Now I have found that hey have also removed the Serial number sticker from the stereo to remove any proof.

 

 

NEXT TIME ANY BODY VISITING INDIA WITH SONY PRODUCTS TRY TO AVOID SONY INDIA SERVICE CENTERS AND SONY INDIA CUSTOMER CARE.
