I'm a relatively new user of Sony Vegas video editor and firstly I'd just like to say how great it is.
Okay, so I am starting a new project which will involve taking poetry and turning it into spoken word set to a background of some sort and then upload it.
What I want to achieve is that as the poetry is being read aloud, the lines of text will appear at the same time.
At the minute I am having to make multiple video tracks in order to easily manage this.
My question is, are there any other ways to simplify this process or a better way to achieve my goal?
I have figured out how to save my text as a preset which is nice as I don't have to change the settings for each line.
I guess whilst I have your attention I should add on some other questions just incase you know the answers.
1. Is there a way to accurately type in a set value for fade ins and outs and can I copy and paste those onto new events?
Thank you in advance.

Vegas is no longer owned or supported by Sony. It is currently owned and supported by Magix, so I would go ahead and contact their support team for inquiries like this.
You can also check out other popular video production forums like DVinfo and DVXuser for questions regarding Vegas software.
