Screen pixels fading? Sony Bravia KDL-46EX729

Morning to you all,

My dad bought a brand new sony 55' bravia and he wants to sell his 46' Sony Bravia KDL-46EX729.

When I installed it and turn it on to see the conditions, I noticed these pixels that are fading horizontally from one edge to the other.
Its not the whole screen the pixels are fading.

A curious note is that after the first 20 minutes of testing, from nowhere, the pixels were back to normal, and stayed fine. After some minutes I turned off  and on the tv to test again and the fading pixels (the same ones) re-appeared. after two days now it hasn't got back to normal.

Below is a link with a picture with the actual tv.

I want to know if this can be fixed or not.

Re: Screen pixels fading? Sony Bravia KDL-46EX729

Good day aadrianperezz,

Greetings and thank you for your message. Based on the information you have provided we can recommend making sure that the unit has the latest firmware version installed PKG4.027AAA which can be downloaded from HERE. If the unit has the latest version already installed proceed by resetting the unit back to factory default settings as described through the link below:

If the issue persists, check the available service option on your area by following the link below:

Re: Screen pixels fading? Sony Bravia KDL-46EX729

Thanks for your fast response.

I downloaded the latest file and I inserted the usb and automatically a pop-up appeared saying "theres no a newer version detected, remove the usb" or something like that (The tv is far for a LAN connection to the internet to check for updates).

I performed the factory reset successfully and no luck. Smiley Sad

Good day aadrianperezz,

If you have checked that the unit had the latest firmware version installed PKG4.027AAA and the problem still persists, it will be necessary to check the available service options in your area by following the link below:
