Re: Vaio laptop turned off due to heating

Hey abhilasraj93,

Before turning on your laptop, please make sure to clean any dust found in your fan or inside your VAIO. A lot of processes can cause the computer to overheat. So in order to avoid that, do the following:

1- Open the task manager and check your startup for any unused or unnecessary programs and turn them off.

2- Open the control panel and uninstall prorgrams you no longer use.

Another cause of overheating is an infected system, so to be on the safe side, update your antivirus and run a computer scan.

If these steps don't help you, refresh your pc. This will keep your personal data intact but removes all installed software.

If you need help in any of these, don't hesitate to ask. If your problem is solved, mark my answer as the solution. Thank you

Regards

Re: Vaio laptop turned off due to heating

Hey,
If you have already cleaned any dust, you might need to replace the thermal paste on the cpu or the fan. Is the laptop running smoothly? Does it turn off if you kept the laptop running for 15 mins before logging in? What is your operating system?

Re: Vaio laptop turned off due to heating

A cooling pad is a temporary solution for finishing your work and backing up your data. It is annoying to carry it around. As I mentioned, a thermal paste or a fan replacement might be it.
